Engagement opportunities
Ask what is currently available at your service.
Community Meetings
A service may arrange resident meetings to discuss shared-home matters, activities or improvements. Frequency, venue and attendance options vary. Ask staff for the current schedule rather than relying on a fixed date published online.
Volunteer Programmes
Staff may signpost residents to current SLS or community volunteering opportunities. Each role should have a clear organiser, expectations, support and any required safeguarding or risk checks before a resident takes part.
Community Garden
Gardening may be available at properties with suitable outdoor space or through a local community project. Check the current location, accessibility, supervision and availability with the service team.
Workshops and Classes
Current workshops may cover practical living skills, wellbeing, creativity or employment preparation. Topics, delivery, eligibility and any cost vary. Check with your support worker before making plans.
Annual Community Fest
Larger social events may be arranged when there is a confirmed organiser, venue and event plan. Staff will share details directly if an event is scheduled; this page does not promise an annual festival.
Fitness Classes
Residents can ask about suitable local or service-based physical activities. Availability, cost, accessibility and any health considerations should be confirmed with the organiser and relevant professional; this page does not promise free weekly classes.
Tenant Advisory Board
Resident involvement can include feedback, surveys, meetings or a current advisory group. Ask the service team which routes are active, how participants are selected and what support is available to take part.
